Our Services

Professional ECU remapping tailored to your vehicle, your engine, and your goals. Every map is custom-calibrated — never generic, never off-the-shelf.

The Basics

What Is ECU Remapping?

Your vehicle's Engine Control Unit (ECU) is the brain of the engine. It governs everything from fuel injection timing and boost pressure to throttle response and rev limits. When a vehicle leaves the factory, manufacturers deliberately restrict the ECU's software to accommodate a wide range of markets, fuel qualities, climates, and service intervals — not to deliver the best possible performance from your specific engine.

ECU remapping — also called chip tuning or engine tuning — replaces that conservative factory software with a precision-calibrated map written specifically for your vehicle. The result is an engine that performs closer to its true mechanical potential: more power, more torque, sharper throttle response, and in many cases, measurably better fuel economy.

What We Offer

Our Remapping Services

Most Popular

Stage 1 Performance Remap

Our most popular service. A Stage 1 remap optimises boost pressure, fuelling, ignition timing and torque limiters on a standard, unmodified vehicle. Typical gains of 20–35% power and 25–40% torque with no hardware changes required.

Typical gain
20–35% power gain
Suitable for
All standard vehicles
Maximum Power

Stage 2 Performance Remap

Stage 2 remapping is calibrated for vehicles with supporting hardware modifications such as an uprated intercooler, sports exhaust, or induction kit. We work with your specific hardware combination to extract maximum safe performance.

Typical gain
35–50% power gain
Suitable for
Modified vehicles
Save on Fuel

Diesel Economy Remap

Designed for high-mileage diesel drivers. We optimise fuelling and boost delivery to improve combustion efficiency, resulting in measurable MPG improvements — typically 8–15% — without sacrificing drivability.

Typical gain
8–15% MPG improvement
Suitable for
Diesel engines
Off-Road Use Only

DPF & EGR Solutions

For off-road and track use only. We offer DPF and EGR delete solutions for vehicles used exclusively off public roads, as well as DPF regeneration support and diagnostics for vehicles suffering from blocked filter issues.

Off-road vehicles only

The Process

How the Remapping Process Works

A transparent, step-by-step process from first contact to final handover.

01

Vehicle Health Check

Before any remapping work begins, we perform a full diagnostic scan to check for existing fault codes and assess the vehicle's condition. We won't remap a vehicle with underlying mechanical issues — it's not safe and it won't deliver the results you're paying for.

02

Original File Backup

Using industry-leading tools including Alientech KESS3, we read and back up your vehicle's original ECU file. This backup is stored securely and can be used to restore the vehicle to factory settings at any time.

03

Custom Map Calibration

Your original file is sent to our specialist software engineers who calibrate a bespoke map for your exact engine specification, fuel quality, and performance goals. This is not a generic off-the-shelf file — it's written for your vehicle.

04

Write, Test & Verify

The new map is written to the ECU and we carry out a thorough road test to verify the results. We check for smooth power delivery, correct fuelling, and the absence of any fault codes before handing the vehicle back.

Peace of Mind

Safe, Reliable & Fully Reversible

Original file always backed up

We store your factory ECU file securely. Your vehicle can be returned to stock at any time — useful if you sell the car or need a main dealer service.

Conservative, road-legal calibration

Our maps stay within the safe operating limits of your engine's hardware. We don't chase maximum numbers at the expense of reliability or longevity.

Latest genuine equipment

We use Alientech KESS3 and CMD Flash — the same tools used by professional tuning houses worldwide. No cheap clones, no shortcuts.

Full aftercare support

We're available after your remap for any questions or concerns. If anything doesn't feel right, contact us and we'll investigate immediately.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

A remap can affect your manufacturer warranty, as it modifies the factory software. However, because our remaps are fully reversible, the vehicle can be returned to stock before any dealer visit. We recommend checking your warranty terms and speaking to us before booking if this is a concern.

Yes — you are legally required to inform your insurer of any modifications to your vehicle, including an ECU remap. Most specialist performance insurers are familiar with remapping and can accommodate it, often at a modest premium. Failing to declare a modification can invalidate your policy.

When carried out professionally, remapping is safe. Our maps are calibrated within the safe mechanical limits of your engine and use conservative fuelling and boost targets. We also require a clean bill of health from the pre-remap diagnostic — we won't remap a vehicle with existing issues.

Most remaps are completed in 1–2 hours, including the pre-remap diagnostic, ECU read, map write, and road test. We'll give you a more precise estimate when you book.

For petrol vehicles, we recommend using the highest octane fuel available (typically 97–99 RON) to get the most from your remap and protect the engine. For diesel vehicles, standard diesel is fine. We'll advise you specifically at the time of your remap.

Yes. Because we always back up your original ECU file, we can restore the vehicle to factory settings at any time. This is a straightforward process that takes around 30 minutes.
